Visiting the capital Port Louis, i didn’t expect much and i did not get much indeed. Next to the touristy waterfront, there’s just a crowded city like many other places. A market, lots of traffic, a cathedral, a big moscque and a nice Hindu temple. I was surprised to find a Nelson Mandela square. However, the island is famous for its landscape and beaches. So i went to the province of Flic en Flac to relax of one of the many beaches.
Von Port Louis, der Hauptstadt, habe ich nicht viel erwartet, und auch nicht viel bekommen. Wie in so vielen Städten herrschen lärmiger Verkehr und Menschenmassen vor. Das Hafengelände wurde für die Touristen zur Einkaufsmeile hergerichtet, ansonsten finde ich in der Stadt einen Markt, Kathedrale, Moschee und einen farbenfroher Hindutempel. Die Insel ist ja aber bekannt für ihre Landschaften und Strände, also mache ich mich auf in die Provinz Flic en Flac, um mich dort an einen Strand zu legen.
